PULGAS FIND- CROCODILES~

The flea market was really scarce I gotta tell ya this week.  But I found two jiggler crocodiles and thought they went perfect with GI Joe.

 They are identical and could go with Crocmaster...I just have to find a Crocmaster now...

Just to give you some scale on these little buggers.  They eat perfectly good CORPS figures.

BuzzChuck's Hunchback!

I don't THINK Kevin has a Hunchback that is....At least not anymore!  Why?  He sent it me!

Included in the package Kevin sent me some time ago was the Hunchback from the Ghostbusters line.  I was never into this line at all.  It should have appealed to a weird kid like me but it did not.  I thought Ghostbusters was for kids.  I was 14 or so at the time and had outgrown a lot of things.  BUT he is perfect for Monster Cafe Saltillo!

 I put him hanging out on top of this resin castle I found down here.  He fits ok with it.

Now Kevin has made me want to get Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman from this line.

MATTEL 1979 GRE-GORY

YES!  My childhood is growing again!  More and more things I am adding to take away the heartbreak of a 9 year old kid.

What a huge thrill to have this again!  Of all the toys from my childhood I have gotten recently THIS is the one I never thought I would see again.  They are kinda rare these days.  In 1979 I had them all!  And this was no exception.

Oh no!  GRE-GORY is sucking my blood!  He must need some...After all he is 35 years old now!

The blood inside is dried out.  That I shall remedy soon.  My artist is going to fix the problem.

GYM TIME!

Remember I had a little gym at home?  Well....I am almost 42 years old.  It is time to start focusing on my gym again.  So I bought my first dumbells in my life.

The 15 pounders below.  Wifey and I for the past two months have really amped up our workouts.  We have been working out with the Monster Cafe steel chairs as weights.  Kept on hitting our legs every time we lifted so that is now out.  We now have weights!  Next week we will be having my metal guy make a rack for these weights and the Body Crunch machine.  Then after that?  More weights.  I do not want to be hobbling in my eighties.

I think I am looking pretty good...My abs are the best they have looked in years.

Who knew dumbells would be so expensive though?  The 15 pounders were $60 here in Mexico.  In the U.S. they are half that.

So if I do not have any new toys for awhile, it is because I am focusing on my health for a change!

PULGAS FIND- SUPERMAN!

The pulgas is what we call the flea market here.  Basically it literally translates into...fleas.  So anyway whenever I say the swap meet, it means pulgas...

Sitting there in the hot Mexican heat....STILL on the card.  It has the new DC logo on it so it must be a new bendie.  I have not opened it yet but will.  I normally do not go for bendies but this had the old school vibe to it and it reminded me of the old Ben Cooper jigglers.

WWF CUSTOM TECHNO TEAM 2000!

So I had these two wrestlers sitting around thinking about selling them in the cafe.  When it dawned on me that I could use them.  There was a little known tag team in the WWF circa 1995 called Techno Team 2000.  They wore silver tops.  I figured I would make Billy Kidman and Paul Birchell useful!

She did a fantastic job here.  What a great tag team now.  I took two boring figures and made gold...or silver with them!

GIANT SIZED GODZILLA!

When I got the Godzilla from my youth...The 1977 version, this Godzilla came with it.  The seller described it as a puppet.  Well....It is anything BUT a puppet!  This is one massive fella!

He ain't no cupcake that is for sure!  He will be my go to Godzilla to trample my Marvel Universe figures.  He is massive!

Look how he dominates the Krusher!  There is a new bad boy on the block.  And he is Godzilla 1998!

Now I know what you are thinking...I gotta get the new Godzilla from the 2014 movie right?  Wrong.  He looks like a walking piece of crap.  He looks nothing like Godzilla.  I stay far away from him.

MISSION TO GAMMA MEGO CUSTOM GLOVE!

The above is the real glove that came with the Mego Mission to Gamma Star Trek playset I had as a kid.  I figured I would probably never own it again in my life....BUT I would or could make my own custom of it.

And here we are!

Not exactly the same colors but my gal did what she could.  Not bad.

CUSTOM WWF UNDERTAKER AND DRUIDS!

During these custom WWF works I have been doing I have really been wanting to do the Undertaker and his druids.  I had 4 extra Bone Crunching figures of Undertaker around and thought they would be good druid candidates for my Mattel Undertaker.

The Undertaker is my favorite thing she has done.  She captured him perfectly!

I cannot wait to have spectacular matches with him!

The druids are awesome too!  The Undertaker's creatures of the night indeed!

MEDIUM SIZED GODZIRRA!

YES!  After all these years....34 to be exact I finally have my old toy back!  So happy to have him be apart of  Monster Cafe Saltillo!

When I first started wanting to get back the toys of my youth, he was at the top of the list!

Isn't he cool as can be?  I am ecstatic to have him back after 34 years.

Look how he dominates the Krusher!  I am re-living the seventies again boys!  Who says you cannot go home again?

This is the feature of my collection now for sure!

LUKE AND HAN-BUDDIES TO THE END

BuzzChuck Kevin sent over these as well.  Luke and Han.  My first Empire Hoth guys in over 34 years.

 So awesome to have Hoth Han and Xwing pilot Luke!

He also sent over a Boba Fett and that singer chick from ROTJ.  I never had her.  I think she is vintage.

SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN!

So I found this naked gem at the swap meet...

Yup...It is Steve Austin before his Stonecold days.  HEHE....GLAD he still had his shoes!  So my sewing gal got to work.

She dumped the pants and did the whole suit.  I didn't want her to do the traditional white lines in it as I hated them in the past.  She did a great job.  Now all I gotta do put the logo on it.  I was a fan of the show as a kid.  I think I only saw one episode though.  Vs. Bigfoot.  Scared the beejesus outta me!

WWF CUSTOM WILD SAMOANS!

I was a bit late to the party to appreciate the Wild Samoans.  I became a fan of WWF in early 1987.  The team had broken up by then but I did get to see Sika a little.  But here they are...

I like the material my sewing girl chose.  I would have prefered something a little more tropical but she did her best.

MU RED SKULL!

I should have posed him with Toht....Oh well.  Glad I finally have another villain.  Need some Hydra troops though.  So all I have for villains is 3 AIM guys, Klaw and now the Red Skull.  I hope MU continues.  It has been the best line I have seen in years.

BOOK- BATMAN TALES OF THE DARK KNIGHT!

So glad to have this little gem again!  My original copy burned up in my house when it caught fire.   This book is so great.  Released in 1989 it was around Batman fever from the Movie!  And I was caught up in it.  I must have read it twice AND looked at the juicy full color covers contained therein.

What do I have plans for the future?  Many things.  A Hall of Justice, A marvel sign etc.  I have to stop making wrestling robes for now.  I need my money to go for my teeth.  I have some cavities and gotta take care of them.  But I am not done yet!  In fact I have a few tag teams coming before I stop completely.

MU NOVA!

Found this little guy down here too.  I recently read a Nova comic.  He teamed with Spidey in the seventies to solve a murder.  Other than that I know nothing about him.  Should he join the Avengers too?

More protections for Monster Cafe

Made this awesome little skylight web thingie in my entertainment center.  We sure have shored up this place.

We have a little window to the kitchen area....Yeah, no one will ever be coming in here again.

And finally we put steel grates and steel spikes over the windows at the top of the bar.  Every little bit helps us to have peace of mind.

I love that I can do this here in Mexico where in the states you are losing the ability to even protect your own home anymore.

BLACK WIDOW JOINS THE AVENGERS!

YES!  I finally have another member.  She joins Cap, IronMan, and the Wasp to track down evil.  So glad I found her down here.  I hope the MU line will continue so they re release Black Panther, Hawkeye, Thor, Vision etc.

I remember the first time I ever read a comic with Black Widow.  My friend who got me into comics Robbie Trott had a few comics.  I would look through them as my fascination with comics grew.  She was in Marvel TeamUp issue 83 which also had Spidey, Nick Fury, and one of my favorite baddies- Boomerang.

I miss comics from back then.  I do not even recognize the Boomerang of today.  Boomy needs to be in that purple and blue costume.  So glad I found this comic version of Black Widow down here instead of the Avengers movie one.

WWF CUSTOM BRIAN KENDRICK

The pic sucks.  I admit it.  It is a leather jacket with a belt and the leopard print over his shoulder.  It is really an awesome piece of work.

THAR SHE BLOWS MATEY

I admit it.  I may be the only person on the planet that hated all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.  Remember my wishlist DVD series?  Yeah they were not on it.
BUT....I got to thinking about Blackbeard the pirate being a cool Spidey villain in the cartoon.  Or was it Scooby Doo?  Heck I do not know...So I started with a small collection I found at Big Lots 2 years ago.

Well I just found 2 more at the Swap Meet.

A girl pirate and Jack Sparrow from the third movie.  Good.  I have quite a collection of them now.  I have already covered the ones I had before.  Giddy up!  I just love 3.75 figures.

MU COMPATIBILITY- VENOM!

This has been on my list ever since I saw it.  Well at the Swap meet with Ming and Godzilla....This guy was there.  AT LAST!

I saw a pic of this with an MU Spidey and thought it was great.

Finally in hand....It IS great.  Great size etc.  I am sure it is a Spiderman movie 3 Venom.

He looks like he is so pissed off and just rose up to squash the webslinger once and for all!

I am on the hunt for more MU compatible figures in the future.
