CUSTOM WWF BARBED WIRE DIVAS BED?

So I tried to kill 2 birds with one stone in combining two important things in wrestling in one.

 How does one combine the brutality of the barbed wire bed match and a more sanitary WWF Divas bedroom match?

oh well...lets see what Ray did.

 The Bed first came to pramanence when Edge and Lita enacted a live sex thing in the middle of the ring.  Later on divas had pillow fights in the ring with a bed.

 The only Diva figure I have right now is Trish Stratus.  Oh well....Gotta pick up more later.

 I would have prefered a more pink bedspread but this one works ok.

 But then the mattress comes off and it is a barbed wire bed!  Oh my!  Terry Funk is trying to throw Mick Foley onto the barbed wire bed!

Foley is cut up and bleeding!  Oh no!

I am finally going to be fixing those broken figures I got so for awhile the wrestling projects are going to cease.

WCW CUSTOM DUNGEON OF DOOM PLAYSET

I was not around during WCWs run.  I was strictly a WWF guy.  But I do like the concept.  The Wizard from the WWF came to WCW and became the Master.  He basically formed a group of old WWF guys that hated Hulk Hogan.  Guys Hogan used to wrestle in the WWF.

Along with Kevin Sullivan they feuded with Hogan for a long time.  They had Kamala, One Man Gang, and others.

 I posed the throne against the snakepit.  Sadly...There was never a Master figure ever made.

Come on Mattel!  Make a master figure!

It does work well with other lines as well.  Here is my Toybiz Apocalypse pondering the rule of mutantkind.

STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS

I am a child of Star Wars.  I saw it in the theater in 1977.  The original one.  I was four years old.  It captured my imagination.  I had all the toys.  When 1983 rolled around I was 11 and out of Star Wars.  ROTJ didnt really get my goose as the first two had.

In fact and I will get heat for this.  I do not believe anyone can be a real fan of Star Wars without living in a time when there was NOT Star Wars.  I am one of the originals.

I didnt want to see the Force Awakens.  I wanted to wait for the DVD as I do with most things by living here in Mexico.  Then a friend of mine of Facebook spoiled one thing.  I quickly unfollowed all of my friends who would possibly see it.

Then I told my wifey why dont we go and see it here.  IF it is playing in English.  For 25 pesos..Yup...movies are $2 down here...I saw it.  I was excited.  Only 6 people in the theater.  I wanted it to take me back to my youth.  I HAD to see it otherwise it would be spoiled for me.  Turns out my friend that spoiled it didnt really.  WheeW!

I felt...old as heck after watching it.  All of the heroes of my youth were now so frickin old.

I felt depressed after seeing it.  Not because of any characters death.  Just because it didnt transport me back as when it did when I was young.

The perils of getting old.  One day I will look as old as Han did.  As Leia did.  Certainly soon enough that Luke did.

I liked the movie well enough.  The only thing I was disappointed in was that was not an onscreen reunion of all of the originals.

Oh well...I still have my DVDs...

CUSTOM WWF DOG COLLAR MATCH

The most famous of these kinds of matches was between Greg Valentine and Roddy Piper at some NWA event.  I thought it was perfect for a custom match to make.

 The neck braces are held by velcro.  It is going to be great playing with them.

Oh yeah!  It will get pretty bloody around here for sure.

WWF CUSTOM RAW ROULETTE

Everyone and their brother has already made this one.

So I figured I would do the same.  It spices up ones wrestling play for sure.

 Eric Bischoff came up with the RAW Roulette gimmick.  I think it is great.  Mine spins and everything.

Look at all the different matches one can have on it!  Really makes playtime that much cooler!

WWF CUSTOM BAM BAM BIGELOW FLAME CANNISTERS

I am always trying to come up with things that will make my playtime more real in the world of wrestling.  I think these could work for Bigelow AND Kane.

Ray I am sure did an awesome job.

 Oh yeah!  Now when kane or Bigelow enter the ring the accompanying flames will help.  He originally painted them white as the pic above but I thought they were boring and had him change them to a more traditional flame.

These little wrestling things I am doing is to set the stage for the bigger playsets to come down the road.

I hope one day to do an arena entrance playset, a general manager office, etc.

MODERN DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS

I found the new Dungeons and Dragons in Laredo not too long ago.  I THOUGHT it would have the old art in it like the cover does portray.  It didnt.  And boy it sucks.  Not because it sucks but that it does not have the original art in it. That sucks! Dumb me for buying it.

I would gladly trade this box set of modern Dungeons and Dragons for a 1979 Monster Manual for sure.

REPAINTED MONSTER HAND!

STAR WARS ACTIVITY C3PO

Getting these old childhood books again is a wonder from God.  I love them so much.

Here I am trying to act like ole C3PO.  The Star Wars activity books are so cool.  I have to get the other three to complete the set.  This one has a lionel playworld sticker on it.  So frickin Cool!

WWF CUSTOM SID SPARKLES

Still doling out the wrestling customs.  I remember this sign coming down from Survivor Series 1996 I believe it was..or it could have been the Royal rumble 1997...

I was blown away by it.  To take that much creativity for someone like Sid.

 Oh man...Ray blew me away with this one.

 Set next to my printed up crowd and it comes to life.

Oh yeah.  I may just make him the heavyweight champion just because of how cool this is.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGAR A PORTRAIT

Back in my more intense bodybuilding days my idol was Arnold.  He had the perfect body and mind.  He went after his objectives and didnt stop until he acheived them.
Since I am in Mexico now I was jonesing to complete my library of his most important books.  I just did.

The book is not particularly noteworthy.  It tells you nothing about how to train etc.  It is more about the relationship between the photographer and Arnold.  The way Arnold did things.  So now with this, his recent autobiography and the Encyclopedia of bodybuilding...for me my Arnold collection is complete.

I am really into getting some of my precious book collection back.   Even moreso than any toy right now.

CUSTOM WWF TITLE IN GLASS!

Yeah...I know.  I am doing the customs no one on the planet ever did before.

Where did the idea come from?

Well back in 1998 the title was put up as vacant due to the fact that Undertaker AND Kane both pinned Steve Austin for the belt at Judgment Day.  The title would rightly find it's new home at the next PPV Survivor Series where the Rock did an AWESOME heel turn to win it in the finals vs. Mankind.

BUT before Survivor Series McMahon trotted out the title on RAW in this glass case.

I thought if I ever played a tournament...I would like to have this too.  So Ray went to work.

 It looks totally awesome.  Ray did a great job.  It is JUST a little too big though.

 Well at least in comparison to the suited Jakks figures that is.

 It was such a short but memorable moment in WWF history.

Ray even did the red carpet flooring.

 Whats this?  Austin is coming out to the ring.  He is pissed!  McMahon robbed him of his title!

 He flies into the ring to attack Mcmahon!

Yeah having this is awesome.  It really amps up my wrestling figure play.

BATMAN 1989 NOVEL!

I had most of the 1989 Batman stuff.  Like kids did when Star Wars came out.  I was 5 when it came out. ..So....Batman 1989 was my get all thing about a movie.

And I HAD it all!

No kidding!

So this may be a minor thing in the grand scheme of collecting...I got it again!  Woooo!  I never read it before.  Just had it on my shelf.  This is my new night table book to finish.

CUSTOM WWF BARBED WIRE CHAIR

I had NO idea this even existed.  How lame am I?  But I had purchased the Batista DVD to show in the cafe.  I had no idea Batista faced HHH in a hell in the cell and this was pulled out.  Wow.  How destructive!  I had to have Ray make one.

This was the match in particular.  It looks so brutal.

 It looks awesome!  Love it.  Gonna have some fun with this one from Ray.

It was very simple for him to do as well.  Just a piece of wood, a little paint and some string.  The effect pays off though.  My first barbed wire chair.

WHO KILLED HARLOW THROMBEY?

I sure as heck didn't...

I love having this book again.  Now I have three from my youth.  Mystery of Chimney rock, Deadwood city and now this.  It brought a flood of memories back.  I had forgotten there are SO many witnesses to interview in it.

I am only missing around 4 more to have the ones I had back with me from my childhood.  I discovered these the same time as Alan Ormsbys MOVIE MONSTERS book.  They were at a little book fair at Northwoods Elementary in Doraville Georgia.  I almost had the first 11 books of the Choose your own adventure series.

Such good times.

CUSTOM WWF BROKEN GLASS ARM WRESTLING STAND!

Since I have not watched any modern wrestling since 2005 I must have missed this.  However it came up in a youtube suggestion.  Wow.

I thought it was a natural.  I changed the base of blue to red.  Didnt want it to have a Smackdown feeling.

Had to put Undertaker arm wrestling Austin as they have better flexibility.

Uh oh...Austin doesnt like how he might be losing.  He blasts the Undertaker!

POPEYE STORYBOOK!

OH YEAH!  Finally after 25 years I get to have this book again.  I had totally forgot about it but a suggestion from Amazon reminded me.  It is such a thrill.  I read it while my wifey got her hair done.

Having this book again has rekindled my flame to get more books from my childhood.

WWF CUSTOM INFERNO MATCH!

Yeah...I got the wrestling bug again and decided to do more custom wrestling projects.  I would love to get playsets done of all the matches and I basically have them all now except Indian strap match, Texas bullrope match and Dog collar match.  Those are easy to do though.

The original inferno match happened at a PPV called Unforgiven in April 1998.  I thought the concept was so cool then.
I wanted to design mine to be appear to be a little more dangerous.  I had the fire extend to the floor.

 So awesome!

 

It was well worth the wait.  I have wanted this for awhile.  I plan on doing more custom wrestling projects.  I like playing with them.

Sorry I have not been commenting much on other's blogs yet.  Halloween season was here.  A huge time for the café.  Also can you believe it?  My camera broke again.  Oh well.
