I AM A CARD CARRYING MEMBER...

Yes ever since BuzzChuck and Tony sent me some cards....I had to get an organizer!  A card carrier!

All my cards go into this little book now.  I have them all in one place protected in plastic.  I love it.  Now I gotta just get my hands on some Raiders of the lost ark cards, some Superman the movie, Star Wars etc.  I hate when you guys light a fire underneath me!

I am having a ball!  Getting my original Star Wars collection back!

Death Star droid is definitely a beater.  I have to repaint the black on his eyes and shoulders.  The other two are perfect!  LOVE having C3PO again!
I am sorry but these mean more to me than any new fangled MU figure ever could.

I admit it...My model painting skills are subpar.  They are too bad I think but not at the level of a professional.

It is not terrible.  But not awesome either.  So I got together with RAY and wanted to add the dog to the kit.  And away he went!

 Ray took a pic with him just starting it...Pretty cool huh?  I like the yellow look.

 This is the final version.  I had a slight modification from Ray,  I had him add cotton for hair and I wanted saliva to be dripping out of the dog's mouth.

I had him mount the dog and the nameplate on a wood base so that they are all connected.

Closeup of the hair and eyebrows....Very cool huh?  You cannot see from the pic too well but Ray had added bluish veins in his hands and head.

RESTORED STAR WARS DEWBACK!

Remember I got a naked Dewback?  No?  Yeah me neither...Aw come on!  It was only last month or so!

So I had Ray restore the saddle!  He made it out of epoxy clay!

I love love love having the Dewback back again!

He is so fricking cool!  My little original Star Wars collection is growing and I could not be happier about it.  These were the toys from my youth.  As cool as today's toys are, nothing beats these for me.

I found this sandtrooper down here at the pulgas a few years ago.  I superglued a long range rifle from Gi Joe to him and wala!  Everything looks great!

CAN YOU GUESS WHAT I AM DOING?

I started a little project then backed off on it.  I do not have the place to finish it so this will be the only thing I do for it for awhile.

It is very small.  About two inches by one inch.  Can you guess what I want to do?

This past year I have acquired alot of my childhood greats.  This is one I NEVER thought I would have again.

This is probably more thrilling to me than getting the 1977 Godzilla giant figure back.  I vividly remember playing with this thing on my Grandfather's carpet when we had to visit my father's Dad.  That memory is stuck in my head!  I love this toy.  Perfect size to fight 3.75 Marvel Universe figures too!

Dewback I am afraid you have met your match.

He is even good to combat your Gi Joes or Marvel Universe with!

CUSTOM WWF BOBBY HEENAN

Huge fan of Heenan.  I thought his Heenan Family was so awesome in the eighties.  He would send them all after Hogan.  Basically WCW ripped off this concept with their Alliance to end Hulkamania.  Sorry guys.  Heenan and his family did it first.  Heenan was a great talker.  On the TNT show and on Wrestling Prime Time with Gorilla Monsoon.  Since I had a Heenan to do my managing of his family figure...I needed a Prime Time one.  So I went with one of his colorful jackets.

I just have to add the bowtie.

HORIZON CREATURE OF THE BLACK LAGOON

I have always wanted a Horizon monster model kit.  I always saw them in the Atlanta comic shops but they were always ridiculously expensive.  They had them all back then.  Freddy, Jason, Ash, Aliens kits, Marvel, and DC....AND some Universal Monsters.  Since I have a Monster Cafe.  I had to go with a Monster kit.

I found a recaster on Ebay.  Yes a recaster.  Model kit guys hate recasters.  Um, not me.  I love them.  Therefore I got Creature of the Black Lagoon for only $12!  The real Horizon one is $100 at least.  So my artist will paint him up and create a custom base for him.  It is going to be awesome.  If this pans out well I will pick up the Mummy, Drac, and Son of Frankenstein.

I think it's going to turn out well.  I would never dare to take on a resin kit myself.  I have done plastic ones, but this needs to be in the hands of a professional.  Since Horizon kits never came with bases, Raymundo is going to have his work cut out for him.

 OH MY GOD!  Raymundo did such an awesome job on this here badboy!

 It might be hard to tell from the shot but Ray made the creature have the wet look.  He looks like he just came out of the water!

 I wanted the Creature to be in water.  Ray made a little creek he is stepping into.  And he also used an old Aquarium decoration thing I had on the right there.

This thing is great.  I cannot wait to explore other monster kits that Horizon put out.  And maybe even expand into other areas.

RESTORED REMCO MUMMY!

Remember when I got a naked Remco Mummy 8 inch figure?  Well I did!

He was totally naked.  I took him to my sewing gal first and she made a white jumpsuit.  Then I took him to Raymundo to draw in the lines.  Here is the results.  Let me know what you think!

So here are the three.  All naked when I got em and all restored.  Now if I could just find a naked Wolfman my Remco collection will be complete for me.  I never had Phantom or the Creature so they are not on my list.

SALTILLO STAR WARS CLUB!

Apparantly there is one here or in Monterray.  Didn't get quite all the details...But Raymundo made something for them this year at their annual meeting and shared it with me.

It is crude yes but I think it was built on the fly out of cardboard just for this little evento.
Pretty cool huh?  The guy is so talented!

BLACK AND WHITE RUBIK SNAKE!

Us kids from the eighties all had a Rubik's cube...But yeah...I was the weirdo.  I had the Rubik's black and white snake.

 There is really not that much to it.  But I had to have it again for nostalgic sake...

You can make shapes here or there from it.  But like Reis used to say...It now has a place on the Shelf of Epic Nostalgia!

GUILTY PLEASURES DVD!

I love a few of these movies.  Others I haven't seen.  I originally bought this for Soul Man!

It also had Black Moon rising!  One of my father's favorites.  Also Fraternity Vacation!  Tuff Turf with James Spader!  This is a great set.  I love it when sets like this are put together.  It saves me ALOT of shelf space!

The only thing that is bad is it doesn't have spanish subtitles.  I had to translate everything from SoulMan to wifey.
