I got Frankenstein a few months ago....Now I have Drakie boy!

He came kind of tattered.  No front shirt.  My sewing gal will have to remedy that.  I was hoping to post her redo of this costume BUT..............she is on vacation till August 5th.  Been on it two weeks prior.  I have two more wrestling sets to be delivered to me so this Dracula will have to wait.  She has been so slow lately.  I might have to get a new gal again.

Well darn diddley do.  I busted my arse to get my 1977 Godzilla back and this news comes from SDCC 2014...

Yup...They are going to re release the 1977 Godzilla figure!  The only reason I am a little bummed as mine was not perfect.  The handle and tongue were broken off.  I was going to have my artist make them again.  But I am delighted that it is coming out again and I could get a perfect one.  But I will not.  Mine is pretty close.  Mine is original.  AND mine was only $50!  This one will probably be $300 or something.

CRAP!  During the time of my father's death I was so depressed.  To the point of suicide.  For some strange reason I wanted to clean the house out before I killed myself so no one would have to bother with sorting all out.  I was not thinking clearly... My father was an artist.  Painted around 60 paintings.  They were in the way.  I tried on Ebay to sell them and nothing.  So I put a few on Ebay for $60.  A woman bought all of them.  For that cheap price.

I find this link and she writes me stating she made thousands off of my father's paintings.

I wish she had kept that information to herself.  Dad would have wanted me to benefit from his work.  Not her.  When she bought them she called me stating she was just a private collector.  She came across on the phone as a crazy cat lady.  If I knew she was going to sell them, I would have stopped myself.

Oh well.  Live and learn I suppose.

But at least Dad's name is out there.

MEGO STAR TREK!

Made in 1976 I had them when I was young.  Never watched an episode of Star Trek till much later in life though.

Now I am a Star Trek addict!  I have them all on DVD and love them.

So awesome to have these back!  Thanks to EMCE!  I hope to one day at LEAST to have Dr. McCoy.  My landing party will not be complete without him!

CUSTOM MADE LAPTOP COMPUTER PROTECTOR!

I am relatively new to the world of the laptop.  In fact it was just last year I got my first one.  I would put it on my legs on my sofa and just BURN up.  That thing can get hot.  So I bought a cheap plastic one from Big Lots a year and a half ago.

It kinda looked like this but all plastic and without the speakers.    Very cheap plastic.  It broke apart from the heat and USE in 4 months.  So I had my artist make me one...

This is the bottom of it.  All cushy so it will not burn me anymore....Yeah I know this is not as exciting as new toys but it sure helps me blog better.

DVD- ADVENTURES OF BATMAN

I could not believe this thing made it's way down here.  I bought it without hesitation.

It was on list.  I loved it for the first few episodes....OMG!  All they used for many episodes was the Penguin, Joker, and the Riddler.  Catwoman shows up for half of them....Scarecrow and the Mad Hatter are in one episode each.

As a kid I remembered a villain created for the show called Sweet Tooth.  It was burned into my memory because I love candy so much.  He didn't make an appearance.  Some investigative googling later and I know why.  He was shown in another cartoon series called the NEW Adventures of Batman with Batmite which is also on DVD.  I think this was enough though.  This hit my nostalgia button and I am through with it.

GI JOE APC!

I could not resist pulling the trigger on this bad boy.  I had almost every GI JOE figure and vehicle from 82 to 86 before I got out of it.  All of it burned in the fire but now I am starting my collection again after all this time.

Why did I choose the APC first?  Because I had this fantasy of putting a mission together with my MU figures and GI JOE!  I have NO GI JOE figures at this time but I will one day.

 The Avengers working in close joint effort with the GI Joe team go to a special mission.

The other members of the team who can fly will be along for the ride.

 Oh yeah baby!

I will be getting my GI Joe collection back one day.  This was the first step.  I hate the straight armed Joes of 1982 so none of them.  I will be focusing on 83 to 86.

MY 500TH POST!

When I started this here blog I was a fan of most of the people that READ my little ole Blog.  Now this is my 500th post.  At first I showcased my cafe, then for a year I got into making my own wrestling playsets and robes.  Now this year around 3 months ago I started acquiring some toys from childhood.  I have made great headway in this area and couldn't be more pleased.  More is to come for sure.

My long term plans are to continue with my cafe which provides my livelihood and to continue with my childhood path.  It is bringing me so much happiness.

I hope to one day close the cafe and retire on a little farm here in Mexico.  More and more I become convinced that I should stay here.  It is cheaper, less rules, etc.  I kept believing the American media about how violent Mexico is etc.  It is mostly all bunk.  However I do miss the U.S. but would rather just travel there than to stay there.

For some of you thank you for accepting me in the blogging community.  BuzzChuck has been the best.  Thanks profoundly to him!  He got me wanting Star Wars vintage again.

Johnny Clawful and Tony too.  Micheal as well.  Cal has been great.

I think I am the dick of the toy blogging world.  No matter how many times I comment on others blogs, they never return the favor.  It must have been the Controversial Thursday posts.  Or that I am a gun loving Republican.

I have many more childhood delights coming.  I do not feel so left out of the loop anymore.  Heck I have Godzilla 1977 and others to keep me company.

BOOK- MASTERING PACMAN!

I had this book as a kid and read it many times.  I was caught up in Pacman fever in 1982.  This book was awesome back then.  I loved it.  I have thought about it many times over the years.

When my house was burned down I lost it.  Now I have it back.  Can I get an AMEN?

Oh yeah.  My score is going to be off the charts!

MUDHOLE? SLIMY? MY HOME THIS IS!

1980 was fabulous.  The Star Wars sequel was out and Yoda was the talk of the town.  I was the first one to have him in my neighborhood.  The next day Dad and I traveled to Seattle when Dale LaValley and my friends broke into our home, stole all of my toys, and vandalized my sancturary.  We sued but the judge decreed they were too young and the parents had to pay nothing.  Luckily we had a little insurance but I never saw my toys again.

Until today....

 Yes thanks to Buzzchuck Kevin I have my Yoda back!  It inspired me to get Dagobah!  Wowie!

It is just like I remember it too.  All it is missing is the two boxes that levitate and the spongy marsh.  My artist can make them right on up.  That would be easy for him.

 My artist did a great job with the swamp and the boxes.  They are around 2 CM bigger than the originals but he didn't know the exact sizes.  The swamp IS a cafe color although in the flash it appears white.

So cool to have this back!  I want em all now!  Land of the Jawas, the Hoth sets, etc.

EVEN MORE VINTAGE STAR WARS FIGURES!

Little by little thanks to BuzzChuck I am getting my collection back to where I had it 34 years ago.

I only want the Star Wars and Empire figures though.  I could care less for General Rieken here.  The Chewy is solid as can be.  However the Bespin Luke is looser than a drunk girl on prom night.  I think I have to put some superglue in his joints and wiggle them around a bit to get some stiffness again.

 So awesome to have Chewy and Bespin Luke again....As for Rieken?

I am in heaven.  These came in the other day.

So awesome to have some of the droids again.  Of course I will be reproducing their stickers so that they will look brand new.

WHOOOO!  The Star Wars wants are getting smaller and smaller.  I think I have about 30 something to go.

1983 ATLANTA BRAVES!

The closest I ever got to liking real sports was baseball circa 1982.  Dad and I lost our house due to bad investments on his part and we had to move to apartments.  The Atlanta Braves were looking good that year.  We had a hero in Dale Murphy.

I finally have them again!  Topps 1983 Atlanta Braves baseball cards!  I loved Baseball at the time.  1982's Max Dugan Returns had a help in my love for it too.  I used to get up early on Saturday mornings to watch a show Johnny Bench hosted about the mechanics of baseball for kids.

MONSTER 500 CARS!

These have been on my list as they remind me so much of the wacky cars I had in my youth.  Kevin BuzzChuck did not disappoint me again.  He sent 4 over of the main characters I presume.

MARX CAVEMEN SCENE

If it was made by Marx in the states...There is a GOOD chance it has been knocked off in Mexico.  I had the Prehistoric Playset as a kid put out by Marx but you all know what happened to my collection back then.  I found these down here.

 They are knockoff Marx Cavemen for sure.  The playset possibly too.

It lessons the pain of losing the original but at least I got this.  

CREEPSHOW SHELF

Creepshow came out in 1982 I believe.  I was an instant fan.  I think my favorite was the Crate episode.  My least favorite was the cockroaches one.  What was so awesome was the title sequence.  The young boy who happened to actually be Stephen King's son in his room and his father hated him having the Creepshow comic.  I guess the father didn't mind so much the monsters in the kid's room though.

The kid even had Rodan flying up above.

Frankenstein will be substituting for the Mummy in this shot...  I never had the Prehistoric Scenes Allosaurus so that is no big whoop to me if I do not have it now.  The only PS model kits I am interested in are the Tar pit and the Wooly Mammoth as I DID have one of them as a kid.  I saw the tarpit live back then and always wanted one.  But I had the Mammoth.

MU GRIM REAPER

Again Camera sucks....

The Grim Reaper...I love his look.  The only issue I ever read with him in it was in a early story in West Coast Avengers.  He is the brother of Wonderman.  He was the leader of the Lethal Legion which consisted of Manape etc. That is about all I know of him.

MARTIAN MANHUNTER AND DAUGHTER?

Marvel and DC both suck sausages for me now.  I love my characters from the seventies and that is how I will always remember them.  I hardly recognize the characters today.  I found these down here.

It seems as if all the heroes and villains are having children.  That is stupid.  The characters should be timeless.  Oh well..John Jonzz and martian girl hear something rumbling in the JLA satellite...

Oh no!  They are caught in the Giant hand of doom!  Yeah I couldn't think of a name for this hand....I might repaint it though with scales or something.

MY MATTEL PIC IS ALMOST COMPLETE!

All I am missing is four now.  I do not want Suckerman however.  I never had him as a kid.

I will probably have my artist make me a Monsterizer as the plastic one kinda sucked as I remember.
