League Assignment: Wishlist for christmas!

HAHA...I do wishlists every Wednesday!  So......this topic is always right up my alley.  Cal has been a good Santa this year so far.  Let me think what else I wish for?
This is my top 5 list of projects I wish for for the 2013 year for my artist's to make me in Mexico!

1. My Marvel sign- I did the DC one.  Cannot wait to start my Marvel sign!

2. My Adam Warlock painting- Hope to start this in 2013 possibly as well.  There is one at Savage Pizza in Atlanta that I fell in love with.  Would love to do my own!

3. Ajijic Hulk and others-  Yes Mexico is a place for knockoffs!  In Ajijic Mexico at this one store they have this and many other models already painted for $30 a piece.  They are a little more than a foot tall.  I need to visit there and pick me some up.

4. Comic spinner rack- I hope for my metal guy to make me one of these. 

5. My car couch- My metal guy will make this too.  So easy to do.  There are many junk shops around.  Probably get it done for $300...

As of this writing no other league members have written yet.

Score Sunday- Falcon!!!

So jazzed I found this in Mexico.  Yeah it cost around $15 but hey...I got Falcon!  Captain America's buddy!  He comes with Redwing.  So again...EVER so slowly my Avengers are taking shape.  Now I just gotta get Cap, Thor, Black Widow, Vision, Black Widow .....Oh forget it. 

Score Saturday-AIM!

I got three of them!  Luckily in Mexico kids have NO idea who these guys are....I gotta find another one as I always army build with 4.  And I sure hope to get a Toybiz Modok for them to go with.  I am afraid the possible future Hasbro one will be too small.

Calvin's Canadian Cave of Cool is awesome!

When I first started this blog I knew bupkus....Okay...I still know bupkus....But some of the bloggers out there have embraced me and made me feel apart of the group.  No one more than Cal!  Out of the kindness of his Canadian heart....he sent me this...

WHOA!  I cannot believe how kind he is!  The Diamond Select Dracula figure I wanted is there!  Two MU figures are there!  The I thought was too expensive Mezco Frankenstein is there!  Stamps of the Universal Monsters and a cat!  I always wanted a little pussy...

These two figures I do not have!  That is great!  I have never read World War Hulk.  Gotta Wiki it. I have no idea why the Hulk thinks he needs any weaponery...Maybe I will make this version...Conan...Yeah, Conan falls into a time vortex and Doc Sampson finds him to give him a transfusion.  That is why he has all this ridiculous weaponery...

He IS a great representation of Drac.  Probably my favorite.

I wasn't going to open the Cat but was probably going to send it to someone else but when I kept on looking at him....The more I realized he fits in with the 3 inch figure format somewhat.

So Conan Hulk rides atop his battle Cat....HAHA...Get it?  He will be hanging out in the Savage Land as that is where he feels most comfortable.  He will eventually fight Blanka...

I will frame the Universal Monsters stamps with a little note that says Thanks to Cal in it.  So he will be apart of the Monster Cafe forever!

 

I gotta do something nice for Ole Cal now.  I think he said something about Famous Covers... 

Wishlist Wednesday-Top 10 playsets I wish I had.

Oh yeah....I am in a playset kind of mood and the only prescription....Is figures and playsets!  I have had a few tragic things happen in my life for sure.  House was vandalized when I was 9 and my stuff was stolen.  I have nothing left from that time.  So here is my Top 10 non Star Wars playsets I want list.

 

1. GI JOE Tactical Battle Platform- This thing was awesome.  I used to play out issue 40 where it makes it's first appearance in the Gi Joe comic. Today if I had it I would probably want to customize it to stand in a swimming pool.

2. Mission to Gamma- This playset I played alot with when I was a kid.  I had NO idea what Star Trek was mind you but would use my Star Wars figures with it.

3.Alien Queen playset- I never had it but always wanted it.  Awesome stuff here!

4. Fortress of Fangs- Awesome huh?  I used to use this as Cobra's fortress...

5. Evel Knevil's Skull Canyon- Yes it is VERY simple but it reeks of nostalgia for me. 

6. Fisher Price Castle- This would be an awesome Castle for an MU Dr. Doom!

7. The TerrorDrome- No playset was better than this one!  It would cost an arm and a leg to get one today though.

 

8. Secret Wars Tower of Doom-  Yeah didn't have it either.  But surely did want it.

9. The Underwater Playset-  I have no idea what the name is but I had one of these as a kid.  It is GREAT!  If someone out there remembers the name leave a comment. 

10. Super Powers Hall of Justice-  I played with this thing for hours.  It was great fun!  I even tried to make other superhero stickers to put around it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Iconic Marvel Monday- WHO are the 12?

Okay guys!  By now a few of you have seen my new DC sign....Now I am attempting to do a Marvel one...But I am a Marvelite!  I simply cannot choose the most iconic Marvel characters.  I gotta pick 12.  Only 12...and THAT is the dilemma....I am kinda going with the below...

With a few exceptions of course....I need your input though.  I would like to put 2 of them as women but they cannot be Invisible Girl or SpiderWoman....I am picking slots as to overall representation of the Marvel Universe....I already have the Thing so he represents the Fantastic Four so there is no need for Sue....I also already have Spiderman so no need for Spiderwoman...So here is who stays....

IronMan
Daredevil
Captain America
Spiderman
The Thing
The Hulk

So I need your help for the last 5.  I need a representative from the Xmen and mutants....I know I know...I will probably go with Wolverine....But still not sure....

I need a heroe that covers the weird portion of the Marvel Universe.  Human Torch is out because I have the Thing but I am thinking Ghost Rider might look pretty cool on the sign...

So whaddya think?  This will be over my comic collection all my days....So I gotta pick wisely.

Score Sunday- More Star Wars Intergang!

Got MORE Star Wars goodness!  These guys were never made by the original Kenner.  The blockade runner guys!

 

I got three of them!

I think I will use them as a kind of DC Intergang.  They look like it to me.  I can see them going up against the Infinite Heroes Superman.

I have no idea why they were packaged with a baseball cap though.  I do not remember any baseball caps in the movie...
